About Chinmay Pathak
Chinmay Pathak, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, officially registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), a statutory body under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), GoI. His approach towards clinical practice hinges on empowering the individual to take his agency in his own hands through a strength based approach and achieve sustained recovery and growth, resulting in improved quality of life.
He has an eclectic approach towards treatment which combines approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Trauma Informed approaches to psychotherapy. He has over three years experience of working in diverse settings such as Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Adult, Geriatric, Substance issues. His immediate past assignment as Clinical Psychologist was with a child development centre of a mental health startup.
Chinmay is fluent in Marathi, Hindi, English, German & spoken Assamese. He has completed M.Phil. (Clinical Psychology) from The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur (Assam). He did his Masters in Applied Psychology Clinical and Counselling Practice from School of Human Ecology (SHE) Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Deonar, Mumbai. He is an alumnus of Fergusson College (FC), Pune.
Chinmay has written articles on mental health in Marathi newspapers like Maharashtra Times, Mumbai & Tarun Bharat, Nagpur. He has conducted sessions with Anjali Morris Foundation, Pune on Cognitive Remediation and Faculty Development program of SNDT University on Early Identification and Screening for Specific Learning Disabilities.
He is trained in Indian Classical Vocal Music and tabla. His other interests include Ornithology, Wild life and Wild Life Photography which he seamlessly weaves into his therapy, throwing up a unique picture of strength-based recovery.
